Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Manager, HRIS and Benefits. Responsible for managing systems and processes specifically in the areas of HR payroll, SAP/SF HRIS, benefits planning, administration and compliance as well as key HR projects. Responsible for the day to day activities of HRIS operations ensuring data accuracy, managing benefit plans and handle HRIS/Benefit projects. Reports directly to the Director of HRIS & Benefits.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manages the operations of all U.S. and Canada health and welfare benefit plans (including wellness initiatives) and ensures full compliance with all regulations, working effectively with Finance and all brokers/providers.
  2. Maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise in employee benefits services, responds to benefits issues, and answers complex benefits questions.
  3. Manages all compliance related activities for benefit plans (non retirement) in the U.S (and Canada).
  4. Responsible for the communication and training of benefit plans. Works closely with all benefit providers and benefit system to ensure annual enrollment changes/ongoing status changes are processed accurately and on time.
  5. Manages the design and testing of HRIS system, automated processes and reporting tools. Responsible for testing system functionality and integrations related to HRIS data, benefits and integrated HR systems. Harmonizes with Payroll, IT, (additional regions, when needed) and third-party vendors on system updates, enhancements, and issue resolution.
  6. Provides escalated support for STD, LTD, and FMLA claims.
  7. Manages HRIS data entry processes to ensure accurate data. Serves as a full HR payroll backup to the team. Manages reporting processes to ensure accurate data.
  8. Troubleshoot errors in HRIS and HR/Benefit portals. Work with Information Systems to test and resolve complex errors.
  9. Acts as the liaison to IT and Payroll for all HRIS related changes, including the employee and manager portals.
  10. Advise management on organizational policy matters related to the HRIS and benefits.
  11. Lead, develop, and mentor a local team of professionals across HRIS, benefits, and/or systems functions. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making within the team.
  12. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Travel Percentage: 10%

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Human Resources preferred.

  • Strong human resources information systems and benefits expertise and skills.

  • Able to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic and evolving organization.

  • Previous experience as a HR Manager or Sr. Level Generalist in a public sector setting.

  • PHR or SPHR Certification Preferred

  • 8+ Years Experience

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and HRIS systems, preferably SAP/Success Factors, Benefits Focus and/or ADP

  • Able to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization.

  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and works well in a team environment.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Must be able to work with confidential information.
