We currently have a great opportunity available for a Senior Manager. Program - IT-PMO. The Program Sr. Manager, IT PMO leads and oversees multiple programs and portfolio initiatives delivering custom-built applications, including new solutions as well as enhancements and upgrades to existing platforms. The role manages and coordinates Project Managers across interdependent and independent initiatives, establishing program and portfolio governance, roadmaps, operating cadence, and executive-level reporting. Accountable for managing risks, issues, and dependencies, the Program Sr. Manager serves as the primary point of accountability for stakeholder alignment and cross-functional coordination. In addition, the role defines success factors, expected benefits, and measurable outcomes, supporting post-implementation adoption and value realization to ensure application investments deliver sustained business impact.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee a few small size programs or multiple medium-to-large size projects and/or portfolio initiatives from initial concept through final implementation, including new application development as well as enhancements and upgrades to existing platforms.
1. Manage, coach, and develop Project Managers as direct reports, ensuring consistent planning, execution, accountability, performance, and escalation management across interdependent and independent initiatives.
2. Ensure development, integration, and execution of project work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reporting across programs, projects, and portfolio initiatives.
3. Manage and maintain program, project, and portfolio governance, roadmaps, operating cadence, and executive-level reporting in alignment with established organizational processes, consulting with management on any material changes.
4. Consult with management to review, prioritize, and approve project proposals; define goals, timelines, funding constraints, staffing requirements, and delivery approach across the applications portfolio.
5. Lead program- and portfolio-level risk, issue, and dependency management, driving analysis, mitigation strategies, and timely escalation of systemic or cross-project impacts.
6. Accountable for program and portfolio financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance management across all assigned initiatives.
7. Drive adoption of best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement across the project management function to improve delivery efficiency, consistency, and quality of reporting.
8. Proactively manage cross-project resource planning and capacity, resolving conflicts to support delivery commitments, minimize disruption to operations, and protect business and customer outcomes.
9. Define success criteria, expected benefits, and measurable outcomes for programs and portfolio initiatives, and support post-implementation adoption and value realization.
10. Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the scope and accountability of the role.
Percentage of Travel: 5 - 10%
The salary range for this role is $141,400. - $222,200. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.
