We currently have a great opportunity available for a Senior Manager. The Sr. Manager is accountable for the complete IS/IT Project Portfolio consisting of software development and infrastructural projects that further strategic company objectives. This role requires specialized knowledge of industry standards in project management and will work to drive standards, best practices, and governance over delivery of strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include leading the project management team to successful delivery of assigned projects on-time and within budget, management of demand intake process working with key stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, and regular monitoring and reporting of project portfolio performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership of IS/IT Project Management Office (PMO), planning and monitoring program execution. Understand the relationships, objectives and impacts of projects and initiatives across the department.
2. Offer recommendations on complex project and program dependencies that could impact the success of active and future initiatives.
3. Manage demand intake process, including strategizing with key stakeholders to prioritize software development initiatives to be included in program portfolio.
4. Oversee project management team financial tracking of capital and operating expenses as related to the project portfolio.
5. Continuous improvement and enforcement of Information Systems Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process while adhering to the defined quality-controlled Product Design and Development Process (PDDP). Identify and direct process improvements that improve KPIs and/or quality across the department.
6. Develop and communicate reporting metrics and program dashboards that provide management and business stakeholders with quantifiable indicators on success of project delivery.
7. Manage diverse team of talent and responsibilities, setting expectations regarding artifacts, meetings, reporting and communication for all projects with the program. Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, quality, and team member performance.
8. Host regular meetings with key stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project status.
9. Participate in removing barriers to timely and cost-effective project completion and effectively communicate issues/risks as escalation points when necessary.
10. Other duties as assigned.
