Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Product Security Analyst in the Greater Chicago Area. This position is responsible for understanding, assessing and maintaining the security of devices sold and supported by Sysmex America. This will include vulnerability tracking, security controls, and customer interactions and related documentation. Additionally, they will assist with information gathering and documentation associated with change control and compliance.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. Support business efforts to secure products through manual and automated methods.
2. Track and document configuration and vulnerability assessments, related controls and testing.
3. Drive customer adoption and integration of Sysmex products by engaging with customers and their IT groups to accelerate understanding and placement of the Sysmex products in the customer environment.
4. Work cross-functionally with other Sysmex Associates in Sales, Service and Support to ensure customer resolution and maximize customer satisfaction to address IT and IT Security concerns earlier in the sales process.
5. Support documentation efforts including guides, questionnaires, FAQ’s. ticketing, and white papers
6. Functions as a point of communication between teams by coordinating all related documentation, process flow updates, and routing activities for all required documentation (policies/processes) as it pertains to the secure control standards
7. Supports emerging changes in compliance, regulatory and privacy that may impact our business
8. Monitors and ensures adherence to implemented policies, processes, and control strategies for the information security program across several business units, including third-party development teams and executes manual processes to support the program’s operational state.
9. This individual must possess strong interpersonal, problem solving, time management and communication skills. The individual must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, can-do attitude, and strong desire to set and achieve goals
10. Other duties as assigned

 

Travel Percentage: 10% 

Physical Demands: Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years required experience in IT, including experience in the Armed Forces.  Bachelor’s degree with a specialization in IT or Information Security preferred.

  • A+, Network+ or similar certification preferred.

  • Technical writing experience

  • Experience with computer security and support

  • Experience in evaluating control effectiveness to manage security risk

  • Process improvement and design experience as well as working knowledge of other healthcare security frameworks (FedRAMP, FDA, HIPAA, NIST, ISO) preferred

  • Willingness and ability to travel between offices.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentations communication skills

  • Operating Systems (esp. Windows), Familiarity with IT, networking and communication, Understanding of Information Security concepts

  • Proven ability to work under stress with flexibility to handle multiple high-pressure situations simultaneously

  • Ability to explain in simple and understandable terms complex technical information associated with Sysmex instrument systems

  • Must possess excellent listening and communication skills, patience and understanding.

  • High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy
