Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Coordinator I, Project and Operations. Projects and operations are critical parts of Sysmex Canada Inc. Working in operations, this role will run the Sysmex Canadian Service Center (CSC) to service Sysmex depot equipment. This equipment is designed to be simple, easy to use and mobile, which enables it to provide quality results to some of the most remote regions in Canada. The Coordinator will use excellent communication skills to understand problems presented by our customers, troubleshoot remotely, and decide to take the instrument in for service. The Coordinator will run all aspects of the depot, ensuring reagents, controls, and supplies are stocked and maintained to continuously provide quality support.


Working in the Sysmex Canada office, the Coordinator will also manage our central parts inventory system, responding to field colleagues' requests for parts shipments and storage needs to help them serve our customers in the fastest way possible.
Taking advantage of superior communication skills, the Coordinator will guide new Sysmex customers from order to go-live as they implement their new analyzers. The Coordinator will communicate with customers and colleagues from across the country, collecting information and constantly learning about Sysmex products and lab projects.


As Sysmex products provide modern interconnectivity and networking technologies, the Coordinator will rapidly gain knowledge in these matters and put these skills to use to help maintain some of our solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide top-notch service to Sysmex customers by operating the Canadian Service Center for point of care instrument service.
  2. Maintain comprehensive quality assurance procedures to maintain the integrity of products and services provided by Sysmex.
  3. Respond to parts requests and maintain inventory to help field colleagues achieve fast service resolution.
  4. Provide basic IT maintenance to help customers operate optimally and with the latest security patches.
  5. Delivery tailored and customer-centric projects by coordinating and communicating project activities surround our compact hematology lines.
  6. Obtain and document project progress ensuring to escalate issues for rapid resolution.

Precentage of Travel: 25%

 

Phsyical Risk: Regular exposure to risk that may require alertness, but with minimal precautions.

Physical Demands: Moderate physical activity. Routine handling of objects 21 to 50 pounds; continuous (at least 80% of time) walking or inspections, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions.

 

Individual Education & Training Required for Position:  Training required for this position is defined and governed in accordance to COP-0013 Associate Training and will be assigned in the LMS.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or 2 years required experience in electronics, project managment, and biomedical engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering preferred.
  • Demonstrated hands-on ability with tools and problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills written, spoken and read in English required.
  • Fluency in French is considered a strong asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Strong organization and administrative skills are required.
